Community Guidelines

Our Mission

Jeekota exists to empower communities through collective action. These guidelines ensure a safe, trustworthy, and productive environment for all users. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent ban.

1. Respect and Civility

Jeekota is a diverse community. We expect all users to:

  • Treat all community members with respect and dignity regardless of background, identity, or opinion.
  • Engage in constructive discussions, even when disagreeing.
  • Refrain from personal attacks, name-calling, harassment, or bullying of any kind.
  • Respect other users' privacy — do not share others' personal information without consent.
  • Do not use threatening, intimidating, or sexually explicit language.

2. Honesty and Integrity

  • Only create campaigns for legitimate purposes with truthful descriptions.
  • Provide accurate information about yourself, your projects, and your affiliations.
  • Do not impersonate other individuals, organizations, or public figures.
  • Honor your pledges and commitments — unfulfilled commitments affect your Trust Score.
  • Clearly disclose any conflicts of interest when participating in discussions or campaigns.
  • Do not create fake testimonials, reviews, or endorsements.

3. Campaign Transparency

  • Clearly state how donated funds will be used before accepting contributions.
  • Provide regular, honest updates on campaign progress and fund utilization.
  • Disclose if campaign goals or timelines change materially.
  • Respond to reasonable questions from backers about fund usage.
  • Report any errors in campaign amounts or descriptions promptly.

4. Prohibited Content

The following content is strictly prohibited:

Illegal & Harmful

  • Content promoting illegal activities, fraud, or scams
  • Drug trafficking, weapons sales, or human trafficking
  • Content that exploits or endangers minors in any way
  • Threats of violence or incitement of harm against any person or group

Hateful & Abusive

  • Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin
  • Content glorifying violence, terrorism, or extremism
  • Systematic harassment or coordinated attacks against users
  • Doxxing (publishing private information with malicious intent)

Misleading & Deceptive

  • Misinformation that could cause real-world harm
  • Impersonation of other users, organizations, or public figures
  • Fraudulent campaigns designed to deceive donors
  • Spam, unsolicited advertising, or repetitive promotional content

Inappropriate

  • Sexually explicit or pornographic material
  • Graphic violence or gore
  • Content promoting self-harm or suicide

5. Platform Integrity

  • Do not create multiple accounts to manipulate engagement or circumvent bans.
  • Do not use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the platform.
  • Do not artificially inflate likes, pledges, or campaign metrics.
  • Do not attempt to exploit vulnerabilities in the platform.
  • Keep discussions on-topic and relevant to their respective categories.

6. Verification Ticks

Jeekota uses a verification system to build trust:

Blue Tick — Verified Individual

Identity verified through government-issued documentation.

Grey Tick — Verified Organization

Registered business or organization with verified credentials.

Orange Tick — Verified Charity/Non-Profit

Registered non-profit or charitable organization with valid documentation.

7. Reporting and Enforcement

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines:

  • Report it immediately using the report button or by contacting us at contact@jeekota.com.
  • Do not engage with or retaliate against the offending user.
  • Provide as much context as possible when reporting.

Enforcement actions may include:

  • Content warning or removal
  • Trust Score reduction
  • Temporary account suspension (24 hours to 30 days)
  • Permanent account termination
  • Reporting to law enforcement where applicable

Severity of enforcement is proportional to the violation. Repeated violations result in escalating consequences.

8. Appeals

If you believe enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal by contacting contact@jeekota.com within 14 days of the action. Include your username and a clear explanation. We will review and respond within 7 business days.

9. Changes to Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines as our platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated through in-app notifications or email. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance.
