Jeekota Fees & Service Charges

Simple, Transparent Pricing

At Jeekota, we believe fundraising and giving should remain affordable, transparent, and accessible to everyone. Our fees are designed to cover secure payment processing, platform maintenance, user support, compliance requirements, and ongoing improvements while ensuring that the largest possible portion of every contribution reaches its intended purpose.

Donations: Payment Processing Fee

A small transaction fee is applied at the point of donation and is paid by the donor. This fee is charged by our payment processing partners and financial institutions to securely process electronic payments.

1.5% + ₦100 per donation

Processing fees may vary depending on payment method, currency, or payment provider requirements. Jeekota does not retain any portion of this processing fee.

Platform Service Fee

To maintain and improve the Jeekota platform, a modest service fee is deducted from successfully received donations before payout.

5% of funds raised

This fee helps support:

. Customer support services

. Regulatory and compliance requirements

. Continuous platform improvements

Why Our Donation Fee Is Kept Low

Donations often support humanitarian, charitable, community, educational, medical, environmental, and social-impact initiatives. For this reason, Jeekota intentionally keeps its platform fee at a reasonable level to help maximize the amount received by beneficiaries while ensuring the sustainability, security, and reliability of the platform.

Our objective is to balance compassion with responsible platform management so that more resources reach the causes people care about most.

Compliance & Trusted Fund Management

Jeekota works alongside a licensed payment processor Paystack to facilitate secure collection and distribution of funds.

Where required, identity verification, transaction monitoring, and compliance reviews may be conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. These measures help promote transparency, accountability, and confidence for donors, organizers, beneficiaries, and partners.

Example

If a campaign receives ₦100,000 in donations:

Total Donations Received: ₦100,000

Platform Service Fee (5%): ₦5,000

Amount Available for Payout: ₦95,000

Payment processing fees are charged separately during donation transactions and are not included in the example above.
